Year of birth:
2005
Size:
He's 31" to his shoulders (We measured him to see if he was bigger than a friend's Miniature Shetland!- He was, but then she grew)
Temper:
He's very placid, you can do almost anything to him- except go on his bed when he's in it! But if he's led on the sofa, he'll have a good cuddle :)
Tricks:
The only trick this little monster knows is how to make your food disappear when you take your eyes off of it!
We've tried teaching him a few things, but he's just not interested!
Competitions:
Raced once and lost (Lovingly known as our little loser)
Pedigree:
Full greyhound pedigree
Born in Ireland to two former Irish champions, though we don't know any names
Gender:
Male
Description:
Jack came to us after being rescued by Greyhound Rescue Wales, he was pretty much a quivering wreck but still quite inquisitive. Now he's anybody's friend as long as they have food! Luckily he came to us in good health, especially for an ex-racer, but recently he's had to have a lot of teeth out due to gum disease, which is very common in ex-racers due to their diet.
He's a noisy boy, in the morning when he decides it's time to get up, when it's food time, when there's a cat, when it's bed time or when he's feeling playful! And once he starts he won't shut up!!

When we first got him, he slipped the lead on the way to work with my Mum (He goes with her almost every day!), and ran all the way home (a 20min walk) down a really busy road with lots of junctions. My brother was just leaving the house when he turned up, panting his little heart out and his paws were covered in cuts and blood because of the tarmac- when we called GRW they said he must be happy already otherwise he wouldn't have gone home :) (Also- we have since bought him a harness!)

Maybe you can't save them all, but at least you've given some a wonderful life
    Welcome to you and Jack.

    Thank you all
He is a lovely boy, he's our 2nd ex-racer, they're such wonderful dogs- the only bad thing is that we can't save all of them x

He looks lovely! Also it's so great to hear a sunshine story! It's so great that you have taken on the hard work to re-train an ex-racer but it seems like it's all been worth it
